V12man Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Absolutely, these do pay the bills, but we're only able to offer advertising options thanks to a healthy (and happy) user base. There's a careful balance to strike in keeping both groups happy. You raise some valid points here in response to the suggestion and it's exactly this sort of interaction that will help refine the service offered and find that balance. We certainly won't rush to make changes based on a single users feedback, but newbies are looking at things with fresh eyes and those things old hands may accept as "the way it works" could have room for improvement to benefit new and old.Perhaps something similar to the ignore function on a users posts could be applied to ads as well - then I can eliminate commercial users ads that keep reposting/bumping things too often - maybe this could be applied item by item even... although frankly there are only 1 or 2 commercial users I would add to my ignore list - the ones that bump an entire stock list daily....
