Hi All

I'm on my way to do a multi stage race and i have Conti Xking 2.2 on my Stan's Crest rims I live in the Eastern Cape and most people here ride on Maxxis Ikon 2.35 coming from a motorcycle background it was not that difficult to convince me otherwise.

I just saw an advert from Stan's that there rims optimal size tire range from 2 to 2.2 will the Maxxis 2.35 be to an disadvantage on handling and rim strength?

If so what tires do I fit?

Thank you

They'll be okay. You may have to inflate them slightly higher than if the rims were wider due to the lower level of sidewall support, so that they don't roll on the rims.

For what it's worth I've run wider three on narrower rims without problems. Yes, they'll be better on wider rims, but they'll also be better than the xkings on your current setup.
