Also, if I'm not mistaken, the JUMA is happening in May, and that is quite an experience. Check out their website. For trails outside Sandton, check out Modderfontein, Thaba trails, red barn, wolwespruit, Northern farms, Avianto, Hero Adventure Hobby Park and the cradle MTB route (runs parallel to Cradle Road ride). ByronH Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Besides the spruit and cradle MTB, those are all private property trails and tend to be secure enough to do alone. There are some sections on the spruit (between William Nicol and rivonia) where you do pass vagrants and you may feel quite isolated if you are alone, even though incidents there even are very isolated and infrequent. I would say for weekday rides, if you alone, ride the Spruit between Trailhead bike shop and Johannesburg botanical gardens or even Alberts Farm. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
