Hello the community and specially people from Durban.

During our last holidays in SA (JHB- Drakensberg-Wild Coast- Durban) we had great time riding very nice places with our mountain bikes we travelled with from Reunion Island. Underberg to Sani Pass was amazing!!! Hard but nice.

Unfortunatly our MTB were stolen in Durban (Durban beach) last tuesday. They were inside the van parked next to Tourism info centre. We just go to eat at Steers and when back, the mtb were not. Nothing broken on the van. The police talked us about remote jam.

Obviously, even with a statement at police station, nothing was done by the police to look for the bikes. The detective gave me his phone number and an email adress but does not answer neither at phone or email. I gave him my phone number but he told me he can't call international number!!!!

I know we made a big mistake by storing the bikes in the car without supervision. It is all our fault and we accept it. 10 times in SA and one mistake we paid cash!

Now i know there is almost no chance to find the bikes but please if people from here read classified adds or something else on social networks and notice those bikes, please do not hesitate to contact me:

PIVOT MACH 429 full suspension carbon 29'

LAPIERRE XR 729 full suspension carbon 29'

They are quite unique as bikes and worth about R60K each.

I'm naw back to Reunion Island but if any informations, feel free to contact.

Hello, just a message to say the bikes have been recovered. I'm using a private investigator for this case and I'm really happy because he found the bikes quickly. Don't loose hope anf I can only recommend Brad Nathanson Investigation in Durban.
