Sigma bike computer

Bought the sigma below, but magnet is to far away from the sensor to be picked up. Info sheet indicates 5mm apart.

 

From a quick Google, I read maybe add more magnets?

 

Any Hubber know of a work around to get the sensor to pick up the magnet?

move the magnet down the spoke (towards the hub) and the sensor further down the fork. You should be able to get the required distance/gap

Have exactly the same model working without a problem.  On the contrary adding magnets could buggerup readings.  Have the Polar wireless sensor and this Sigma on my roadbike and had to put the two magnets exactly opposite one another otherwise I started getting irregular readings.
