Deonmtb Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Taking into account all the updates to the Spartan Ultra, which is a better watch as your only watch? Taking into account gps accuracy, versatility, functionality and which watch will be better 2 years down the line.

Letum911 Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Can't comment on the Spartan, but I have a Fenix 3 HR. It's bulky but I love mine, wear it probably 3/4 days a week as a normal watch and train (cycling and gym) with it. In terms of HR accuracy, it's normally within 5 bpm from the equipment at the gym, GPS accuracy I find differs. If it is a fairly open track that does not backtrack on itself too closely it is accurate (within a few meters of the computers with spoke mounted sensors), but a place like Big Red Barn which backtracks on itself very often it is about 800m-1km out over 20km when compared to a computer with a spoke mounted sensor. Functionality is spot on, easy to navigate and the information shown on screen can be customized to suite your specific needs.
