Any Hubbers in either Mtubatuba, Monzi or St Lucia, KZN?

 

Looking for some training buddies or groups, preferably MTB.

Would you be able to advise on trails in and around St Lucia?

 

Going there for a week soon and would like to know 'safe' mtbiking options in the area.

Unfortunately there aren't any official trails in the area.

 

Where are you staying, in the town itself or Cape Vidal? if cape vidal you'll be llimited to the camp itself as the remainder of the park is a big 5 reserve.

 

In St Lucia you could do a few leisure rides, and possibly follow some of the walking trails? but no real mileage to be done unfortunately.

 

Would not recommend cycling in the surrounding DukuDuku community due to safety concerns 

 

If your needing distance best would be Monzi as that is closer to St Lucia (10-15km) there you can do longer routes on the sugar cane flats or follow the umfolozi river up to Mtubatuba and back 40km round trip.
