Hi Justin,

Welcome to BikeHub!!!

If your bike has 2 wheels and no punctures its a decent bike and will bring you joy every time you ride it. Although I have never heard of  the Cardinal brand the components seem entry level... which is totally fine.

The more expensive bikes only make riding more conformable on longer rides ie more that 30Km.

As you increase your fitness and thus increase your distance. you may want to upgrade your bike.... but that time you will realize that Cycling is more important that work/cars/girls/food/housing and you will be willing to spend 2 months salary on the Specialized 6Fattie... Until then Enjoy riding your bike, and breathing fresh air out on the trails.

A couple of things to remember

1 Always wear a helmet

2 always be careful on the road

3 don't litter on the trails

4 Keep the rubber side down

Cheers

Adam

If you cannot afford anything else why ask? Also the definition of decent is mostly subjective.

Regardless to the above question, if this is your only bike. Why doubt it? Just ride and enjoy. With time and experience you will figure out what you want and require in a bike, and then save up and buy as and when life permits. In the meantime ride whatever you have available to you.
