The demo 8 frame i want to buy takes a 10mm axel,my rapide has a conversion kit to go to 10mm QR

if i take the QR skewer out will the axel fit in hub? or do i need a new hub?

need to cover all the bases before i buy it

Measure the width of the hub from locknut to locknut. 10mm QR is generally 10 x 135mm, DH hubs are usually 10 x 150mm.

Not many 10 x 150 hubs out there anymore, but you may get lucky.

The 2012 demo 8 takes a 135mm 10mm bolt thru axel,I have a 12mm bolt thru 135mm hub with a 10mm QR skewer conversion kit

If it's 10 x 135 then you're good to go...

bingo, wont be a another week of wheel building.

Btw are race crowns on forks easy to find for a 2012 demos headset?

not sure if mine will fit.

There aren't a million flavours of crown race as long as it's a cartridge bearing, so I'm sure we'll find something without too much of a mission. For the 40?
