What bike for R8k - R11k?

I can't actually find any Scott bikes in Gauteng, or not in the places I'm looking.

Asked for a price on some Specialized bikes yesterday and nearly started crying.

At the moment I'm thinking it's between the Felt Q920 and the Hasa.

Okay, so I finally decided on the Felt Q920 on Thursday and ordered it and paid for it. It's been about 6 months of looking and deciding and I think I made the right choice :)

Now all I need is a set of pedals.

I'm considering the Look Quartz or something from Crank Brothers.

Any recommendations?

What about the Raleigh RM 6.0 @ R 11 779.95 specced with:-

Frame:HC Concept with Kinesis Superlight Alloy and Carbon Tail
Fork:Rock Shox Recon SL Air 80mm
Components:Shimano LX/Deore Mix Groupset with LX Derailleurs
Shimano M535 Hubs with WTB LaserDisc XC Rims
Shimano M535 Hydraulic Disc Brakes

or the Raleigh Marathon 4.0 @ R 11 519.95 specced with:-

Frame:Kinesis Butted 7005 Series Alloy Tubeset with 3rd Generation Rear Suspension Design, 103mm Travel
Fork:Rock Shox Recon SL Air with Turnkey Lockout, 100mm Travel Shock
Components:Rock Shox BAR 2.1
Shimano 27-Speed with XT Rear Derailleur
Shimano Hubs with WTB SpeedDisc XC Rims
Shimano M485 Hydraulic Disc Brakes

Bruce Reynecke cycles actually offered me an excellent price on the HASA literally 3 hours after I ordered the Felt. But I think I made the right choice. If I really want to I can always buy another bike in a few years again. But then I might go full suspension

Go for the Felt Q920, probably the best secd bike in your price range.

Where do you live, Northcliff Cycles has stock of the Q920.Smile

I already ordered it last week, just waiting for delivery to Cycle Tech in Kyalami. Anyone have particularly good or bad service from them before?

Okay, so after roughly 2 months of having the bike and riding a few short trips a week I have to say that I love the bike!

It felt way too small at first, but now that I'm used to the massive change in geometry I really enjoy riding it. It's so fast and nimble. And a very smooth ride from the Rock Shox Tora fork.

I got some Crank Brothers Smarty pedals on Monday with some Scott shoes and it's just made the experience better. I can see myself spending a lot of time in the saddle this summer!
