Garmin 1/4 turn clips

So thanks for the good wishes I got from various hubbers for my recovery - 10 weeks and one day after broken femoral neck and surgery I have done my first two rides on the road.

As a get well present for myself I bought a garmin 935 watch because every health professional I encountered asked "How long have you been cycling?" and "Have you had a bone density scan" which led me to think that I should go back to my roots a little and do some running in addition to the cycling.

Also, I reasoned that the water based rehab I have been doing qualified me as a triathlete and so I flogged my garmin 520 and got this lovely watch. Actually I have started swimming lessons - I was routinely humiliated by a primary school PT teacher for not being able to swim - me and a guy called Micky Mavrokadatis - and I learned late so now I am learning properly so that it can be an enjoyable form of exercise.

Now I'm a little worried - I used the garmin mount on my bikes and took the precaution of attaching a lanyard to the 520 in case the mount failed or it twisted off. The watch mount however has no place to attach a lanyard which concerns me.

Anyone had experiences where their fenix or forerunner has fallen off the bike mount. Nice to be able to glance down at it otherwise I'll just wear it on my wrist.
