Fulcrum Racing 5 spokes and rebuild

Snapped a front spoke on my Fulcrum racing 5's. Anyone have a rough idea how expensive it is to replace and rebuild the wheel.

If you just snappe the spoke why not just replace the one spoke?  Not sure what it would cost in SA.  We pay in Germany €12,50 for a pack of 4 spokes.  Personally to I think to do a complete rebuild and replacing all spokes it might not be worth it.  Buy a new set.

When you start breaking spokes, chances are your spokes are probably end of life.

Rebuild your whole wheel. I broke one spoke on my wheel, was stingy and fixed only the one spoke. Broke another spoke the next time I went out and went the stingy route again. The past weekend broke 3 spoke, rendering my bicycle un-ridable, 23km from home. The cost of fixing the 1 spoke the previous two times are nearly 70% of the cost to rebuild the wheel.

You are looking at about R20 per spoke, and R150 labor. Rather go that route than sitting with mechanical issues next to the road or risk injury from a wheel failing catastrophically, especially your front wheel

Don't fully agree on that.  I broke one spoke on each wheel in March and April respectivel this year.  Replaced the  spokes and over 5000km futher no problems.  When you break all of a sudden then yes, time for a rebuild.
