Hi guys.ive got the choices between these 2 bikes.the rc 900 has better components but its a alu frame and the 930 spark is carbon but not as good components.what you guys think?the spark is 4k more

What are you using it for? The RC is an out and out race bike and should only be bought if you're racing for position on XCO or Marathon events. The normal spark is a far more versatile bike, having 20mm more squish and slacker head angle. It's a far better option if you're not racing at the pointy end.

Hi

The RC 900 is there top end race bike so it would be carbon.

The 930 is more entry level.

Are you comparing the Spark 900 or

Scale 900?

Scale is hard tail, Spark is dual suss.

I can only assume you comparing a Scale 900 to a Spark 930?

Cant give you solid advice as I'm not sure what you comparing...

Spark 930 all the way for the type of riding you wanna do, might be some good black Friday deals coming up on the 2017 models if you shop around.

I have a 2017 spark 940 and it puts a smile on my face every time i ride it.

you can always upgrade the component as time goes buy if you feel the need.

sitting with the same choice... will be buying before end dec.

the 2018 spark 930 is not carbon, though. both are alloy.

the 900 comp is lighter than the 930, but as mentioned earlier it has slacker head angle and more trail goodies like a dropper post and bigger tires.

for enduro and playing around take the 930. upgrade the drivetrain later. the 900 comp is for racing. you could always remove the dropper and fit smaller tires on the 930 and go racing as well.

here's a spanner in the works: what about the spark 930 2017 model? it's got similar sram drive than the 900 comp, and only costs 2k more. new units still available.

another alternative is the 940.

as for me, i was set on the 900 comp, but the head angle is swaying me. I'm gonna ride both before I buy and take it from there. think im gonna go with the 940
