Road from HazyView to Pilgrims Rest - OK for Road?

Hi all. Wave.

 

We're looking to do some out-of-town cycling - you know how it is.... Dreaming of some open roads and less traffic. My mind wondered over toward the stretch from HazyView to Pilgrims. Can anyone offer any opinions on the road, traffic, safety in that area? Looks great.

 

Is there somewhere else I should consider? Looking for good, long rides that are safe. Any suggestions? I'm happy to travel too. Any where from HazyView to the Karoo is fine. Planning to stay remote, away from crowds, and just ride.
