Shipping from London to Cape Town - 26” Sp Enduro

Hi Hubbers!

 

I need to ship my 26” Sp Enduro (Large) from London UK to Cape Town. I searched for similar topics and didn’t find anything.

 

What is the cheapest way to do this? It’s a bike I’ve owned for a long while, so I really doubt anyone can whack me for import fees. It’s definitely nowhere near new.

 

Does it ever happen that fellow riders who may be travelling with excess baggage allowance would be willing to help for a fee or a case of beer or something?

 

I’ve been involved in the industry all my life but have never had to personally shop anything this large before.

 

The lowest quote I’ve gotten comes out to R3000 with no guarantees that customs won’t add additional charges.

 

I’m not buying a new bike here because it’s well out of my budget.

 

Any help, advice, hacks, or anything helpful will be appreciated.

ja, 30 dec is quiet here i reckon - everyone riding their bikes

 

cheapest would be to find someone travelling and add it as part of their luggage

I'm surprised there aren't shipping options less than R3k
