Hi all,

Looking to get into the world of biking and need advise. Have been looking at the 2018 Titan Sport as a starter bike (budget constraints. Today saw the 2018 Mongoose Tyax Sport, and a have been advised on the 2017 Mongoose Tyax Expert. Can get both Mongoose bikes at relative same price. What seems to be the diff between these 2 and between Titan and Mongoose which is better to enter this world of biking?

What kind of riding are you going to do mostly?

Biggest mistake I made was buying the nicest bike I could afford only to realize 3 months in that I wanted to do a completely different discipline.

Hi

Welcome to the forum where you will get plenty of advice that will probably make yourself confused. I assume you want to get into mountain biking. You better off spending your budget on a good second hand bike that will probably be lighter and better specs than the ones you are proposing. Go to the classified section and go look at all the listings. My bet, you will probably end up with a 29er Hardtail and you will be able to complete 99% of all the trails.
