Mooinooi Road or MTB Groups

Hi Guys,

 

Does anyone know of road or MTB group rides in Mooinooi or close to it?

 

I go there often and I am looking for a group to train with when in the area. Safety in numbers.

 

And how safe is the roads around Mooinooi / Buffelspoort to ride alone?

I wouldn't cycle there if I were you. The local communities (Majakaneng etc) have regular "braai-days" where they make their fires with whatver they possibly can find, in the roads (read protest actions) where everyone is invited by means of rock throwing.

 

The area is too volatile. They are out to make a statement to the local government (think it is Madibeng).

How about parking at the ATKV there and ride the monster. That will get the heart rate up a bit

you can park at the atkv and ride the sparkling waters road.I did it December on my roadbike and it was nice(not much traffic)
