upgrades for joburg2c?

Rather put an Ardent Race on the front and an Ikon on the back.

That can work, the Ardent Race is much better suited to stage racing than the standard Ardents. I took my Racing Ralphs off and replaced them with Ardents front and back for the Strorms river Traverse 3 day stage race last year because it was wet. Felt like i was riding with my brakes engaged for three days. Took them off when I got home and gave them away.

I have the Ardent 2.35 front and Ikon 2.2 at the back. Need to replace both so was thinking Spez Ground Control 2.3 front and Spez Fast Track 2.3 at the back. That any good?
