Bicycle Blue Book - any good?

Anybody here use the Bicycle Blue Book (www.bicyclebluebook.com) as a guide when evaluating secondhand purchases?

They seem to have quite a large library of bicycles and their corresponding values based on how old they are and what condition they're in.

Values are all in dollars though but is it a good indicator? Are there other sites that do it better?

Nope. Useless IMO.

You have to look at the local market if you want a good reference.

Thanks man.

It's tough to compare locally if there are no other models available to look at but on the whole, I do think you're right. They seem to undervalue second-hand bikes.

Agreed useless . Im in the process of deciding on a new or used soft tail with a budget of R35k . The values quoted are way under our values if you convert $ to R .
