Stages Power Meter Housing Thickness

Could anyone give me the actual thickness of a stages carbon GXP power meter housing (only the plastic housing at battery end)

Stages states I should be able to fit a 10mm hex between the chainstay and crank, but it’s like I only have 9mm gap at the one end of the clearance section, will this work?

Haven’t bought it yet - Going to get the new Gen3

My Gen 2 on gxp but non carbon mesures 8-9 mm it depends a bit on what spot you mesured. Did you consider putting a spaces on th BB to put your cranks a bit more outwards?

Thanks for the dimension - it sounds like it may work then. I hadn't even considered adding spacers, so I'll do that if necessary.

Spacers depends on the BB if it possible so check with a mechanic and it will bring tour crank on the other side a bit closer to the frame so check if you are not too tight on that side with the rings. But its a hack that has been done several times before.

Thanks guys for the information - Just to update the thread for anyone in the future.

I received the new Gen3 Carbon GXP MTB crank this morning. It actually fits easily with sufficient space to spare, so Stages clearance guide is quite generous.

The crank arm is to my surprise much nicer and cleaner looking than what they show on their website. The blue stages writing is now gone and its a very clean look I think.

Bought from CWCycles here in SA - I received super service from the guys over there, even expediting the order overnight so I'd have it for this weekend.
