On a 26er soft tail ,i want to change over to tubeless.

I currently have conti racekings 2.2. What wheels size to i go for 2.10 ,2.2 or 2.4.

I ride mostly on trails and farm roads

If you have rim brakes just be sure that the tires will fit. Also if you have a triple crank check that the space between the FD and tire is sufficient when in the small chainring.

I have a giant anthem ,i have disc brakes . I do have 2.2 at the moment so going to 2.3 shouldnt be a problem

What is the advantage of running a smaller tyre at the back ?

2.2 is a decent size. 2.3 on the front will have more grip in the corners where you need it. A front wash-away is a lot worse than a back sliding out.

There is no definitive answer here. Yes certain general setups apply, but it depends on your skill level, what and how you like to ride and the expected surfaces. For example I've never had more than 2.2 up front and I love to ride gnarly downhill single track. Also 2.1 at back for less rolling resistance. I'm in the XC/marathon camp but have most fun on downhills.

PS tyre pressures also play a huge role

Go for any of the sizes.

Wider tyres are heavier though

Make sure the 2.4 will clear your frame

Some wider tyres on narrow rims induce sideways roll especially at lower pressures
