Vector/Edge 500 Calibration Problem

I know the issue here is potentially age of both these devices but the software for both is up to date and they are paired.

 

But when I switch on the Garmin it just continually says "calibrating" and never actually finish this process until the unit switches off. Had it at the shop and they told they fixed it and it calibrated and I don't feel like going back.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Also try it the other way around. Disable any HR Straps and try again. My Edge 500 did the same if a HR strap was linked to the device. Dont just remove the strap from your body but disable it on the Edge 500.
