Creaking sound...

It might be a spoke tinging on the brake caliper. This will probably only happen when on the bike due to the stresses being exerted downwards causing flex in the spokes.

 

So take the rear caliper off and pedal around. If it is that, use some 1mm washers to move the rotor away from the hub and reposition the caliper. It should solve it.

I undid the caliper at the back, and pedaled around. The noise was gone, so I re-seated the caliper, and fastened it with alternating 1/4 turns between the back and front screws while holding the back brake firmly locked. Problem sorted.
