Cracked Frame

So my bike has been creaking quite a bit the last 2 rides, then yesterday it was making one hell of a noise under seated pedaling - got off to inspect and this is what I found.

 

Currently at Specialized for a warranty inspection. Should know by Monday whay the verdict is. 2016 Spez Stumpy...

 

And I do use a torque wrench there, so collar was not over tightened.

but that's hectic, did you check if there's been any other breakages to those frame at that spot?

 

can only be since you moved down to Cape Town and riding real trails

Nothing that I can find on the interwebs, not on that spot anyway... you're right, must be the frame that got used to the flat Pta trails and couldn't cope with real trails

 

Haha 2019 would be a win, but at this stage I am just hoping warranty goes through so I am not without a bike!
