So I am toying with the idea to get the Xshifter for my MTB. Although it had its ups & downs during the development, it seems like a good product. Is there anybody here that currently use it,and if so,how is your experience with it? Here is a link for the uninformed. Another feature, which riders with dropper posts may find apealing is the fact that you can also control your dropper with the Xshifter. https://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/xshifter-wireless-shifting-48668/

On you tube there is another manufacturer, can't remember the name, but their controller looks a lot better.

I thought it was a cool idea, but don't see the point, other than losing a bit of cable the controller replaces the shifter so you gain no weight advantage.

I also think the price is a bit steep for what you get - their prices are on the website

I think it is Archer components, https://www.archercomponents.com. Their system do look a bit more polished.

I honestly don't see the point. It's one more thing to charge, controllers are clunky, and there is just one more thing that can break.

Cable shifting works, and is easy to install and maintain. It just feels like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. There are lots and lots of bits and pieced I'd get before I spent money on something like this.
