Suunto Ambit 3 strap repairs

Hi All

Is there anybody who is able to assist on a jury type DIY watch strap for both the Suunto Ambit 3 and Core?

The silicone rubber affairs are useless and was thinking of something more sturdier - Paracord.

These are even more expensive - R750!

 

Alternatively, any other strap which will fit at a good price?
