DieselnDust Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 It really is funny how after a while on the new non-shitmano stuff everyone goes back to XT and all their problems go away. The concept is nice on all the new tech but in the practical real world where things wear and tear and get dirty it is not all rainbows. 2x11 or 2x10 Shimano - and they rode happily ever after - the end. As with all kit, there is a learning curve. Most people can't be too bothered to learn new tricks so will always default to back to something they know.I have been on 1x12 for over a year and it hasn't missed a days beat. Before then it was 1x11 for almost 3yrs. Again never missed a beat.Eagle is easy to set up. Some full suspension bikes require the b-tension to be set with the suspension loaded. Easy enough to do at home or at your LBS
