GOODY-BAGS and MEDALS for the first 1100 entries.

BRING A CAN, IF YOU CAN!

Help us, by donation a can as we aim to break the Guinness World Record for the largest pyramid built from canned food. The cans will be shared with all participating charity organizations afterwards, which in turn will be distributed to needy people in the community. The current Guinness World Record stands at 31000 cans. We are aiming to build a pyramid of minimum 31002 cans. So, please bring a can, if you can!

COLLECTIBLE MEDALLIONS

Start your medal collection this year with our wire beaded Farm Animals. This year we are giving away a beautifully beaded Sheep, specially made by our local artists.

PHYSIOTHERAPY

A physiotherapist will also be available on the day, offering massage and taping/strapping.

All proceeds will go to Lesedi Community Centre.

  • 2 months later...

Think I found the route that was run in 2016. Same organizer, same distance, same start location.

Mind confirming it @FeO?

That's from the army base in Heidelberg, not Lezar as in 2017.

I did it last year. Enjoyed it very much, but it was fairly tough as there was not a lot of open road riding - they would rather take you on the mielie field next to it or on the service roads used next to railway lines. So even though not a lot of elevation, they use the area well to create a good challenge.

The 2016 route was the old route. The new route starts at the Lezar farm. The race was run last year on the 2nd of June as the Heidelberg Challenge 4 Hope and this year is the LCS Challenge 4 Hope.

This is the link to last years segment but the route has been changed quite a bit and is now also shortened to 60km. You will now also meet the new farmers revenge climb.
