Mountain_Goat Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Hi bought a bike few weeks ago 2nd hand.On the first ride at about 8km as I went into first gear the drop out broke.Can it be repaired or replaced or do I need a other frame?Trek 1.5 H2 aluminiumMight be a long shot but why not try and return the bike to wherever you bought it from? You said that the drop out broke only 8km into your first ride. In my opinion there must have been a fracture in the drop out of the frame to cause it to just break off like that.
Gharith Posted August 10, 2018 Author Posted August 10, 2018 Frame can't be fixed and now I'm stuck. Waiting on previous owner for invoice of purchase for Trek to replace frame. BMC can't help me so I don't know what's going to happen if no invoice is found probably sell or break bike up
