Oakley Flight Jacket Lenses

I have a pair of Oakley Flight Jackets that are in need of a good clean. I've just been running them under the tap until now but I thought "Hey, lets take the lens out and clean all the salt and gunk out"

 

I'm either a bit dense (highly possible) or there is no obvious way of doing this like with the Jawbreakers.

 

I've checked the case and unless I've tossed it, there were no instructions. Looked at Oakley's site, nothing. There is a video on youtube showing a rather violent method that I'm too chicken to try.

 

Before I email customer support I thought I'd ask here.

You're right, the online version is extremely violent. It seems like the bottom is rubbery/ a lot of flex. Just give it a pull and see.

I'll give it a try if nothing else comes up. Hopefully I don't invent the worlds first Oakley monocles

Okay, I've figured it out. It appears you have to remove the entire nose/advancer assembly. Then it's a short wrestling match until your lens is free
