Mountain Bike Student Survey

Hi my name is Tom Hutchinson a final year student at the University of Huddersfield. I am conducting research into problems with mountain biking.

Just on a survey design point. A lot of your questions are very broad and open-ended which makes it very difficult to collate useful information from them. A multiple choice type survey makes that a lot easier (but does run the risk of missing something).

 

Additionally the very broad first question will have people answering from very different perspectives. Some might answer it from an "on the trail" point of view and others from a "generic issues with the sport" perspective so you won't really be comparing apples with apples.

 

Just some observations from having done a few of these in my time.

Also answered... from a trail/off road riding mtb perspective. I assume trail was implied, especially since it was mentioned in the very last question, but like Jehosefat said, I also found it ambiguous.

I really tried to complete the survey but as mentioned it is just so open ended it makes it really hard to understand what exactly you are asking.
