Shipping a bicycle to SA

I'm currently working in Santiago as part of a secondment. I'm already itching to buy a bike here, but the stuff is even more expensive than SA.

 

Now I'm wondering, would it be worth it to courier the bike to SA? Using the likes of DHI to courier it back? (Luggage is not an option as I am already on my allowance limit). Anyone done this before?

You're gonna pay import duties on the RSA side and then VAT on top of the (declared price + Import duty%).,...so not unless you find a very good deal.
