not every corner needs a berm :whistling:

Totally agreed. Fortunately they haven't bermed up my favourite corner in their pursuit of a Supertube. Yet.

Not a complaint, just a comment. These berms are terribly shaped, they should have a bowl shape not compacted flat at 30 degrees.

They start out flat, and after a couple of wet rides and rainy days a bowl is formed naturally.

It is harder to make bowled berms with a plate compacter and water that gets trailered in 500L at a time in summer.

My bike is coming back from the shop on wednesday, will the trail be ready by then

No idea yet. Scope creep is a bugger.

Philip we will be taking a few day drives during the holiday .... sure to make a turn and enjoy your hard work.

Would love to buy you a cold one and thank you for all the hard work !!

No I haven't swung a spade there since winter. This revamp has been contracted out to the Stellenbosch Trail Fund. I may have to go and fix up/change some of their stuff that I don't agree with, but I'll give it time to see how it pans out first. I have been wrong before.

Now I just play telefoontjie for the management committee here on LeBikeHub.

But please let me know if you make an effort to come out. I live nearby and would like to meet you and your boy.

Hopefully your boy is fine on some of the raised obstacles, nearly everything has been made higher.

That wood was sketchy AF. especially if yo gunning the berm and as soon as you hit it see that its missing a plank or two

Not sure whether it's beter tbh. I haven't ridden it yet so I don't know whether we just went from a tight wooden berm, to a tight berm with wood buried underneath it waiting for rain for it to come out again.

True that. Didn't think of it that way. Just hope the new sand filled feature has the same grip the wooden berm had. Will kinda suck wiping out there at speed
