Hi guys, which bike would be better to buy: entry level Avalanche or entry level Titan - both MTB? Entered the 55km cyclocross Tour Durban race - need suitable wheels now...

Hi.

I don't know which bikes you are looking at but looking at the Specs,

 

 

Avalanche 2019 Reflex 29er 1 - 9speed, fork is better than the other avalanche, Hydraulic brakes,

2019 Reflex 29er 2 - 8speed, Hydraulic brakes, not so good fork

Titan - ROGUE CRUZ - 29er wheels, 8speed, hydraulic brakes, fork is the same as reflex 29er 1

ROGUE RYDE - 8speed and 29inch wheels, not so good fork

ROGUE NOVA - 7speed, and 26inch wheels not good

 

personally I would go for the Rogue cruz, much better looking bike and the specs will last you maybe a year or 2 depends on how much riding you are going to do. OK for start.
