To ride in the A, B or C Cat, cyclists are required to complete a Track intro and skills course before they can race the league or any of our regional or national races on a track bike. The clinic is very beneficial for safety reasons, and to build confidence on the track and Road. Contact Central Gauteng Cycling admin@CGCycling.co.za for information on intro and skills courses.

There are some rental bikes available at HNP that can be used in Coached sessions and on official race days. Sizes 52-58. R50.00 per Day, please inform the ladies at registration if you are renting a bike.

On Track days there are usually a 2 or 3 informal kids races (D Cat) that vary from 1 to 3 laps (500m-1500m) where kids are invited to bring their own bike and get the feel of racing on the track and getting cheered on by the spectators. Anything from push bikes to mountain bikes are welcome to join in. Please remember to bring a helmet. (Parents also welcome)
