Morning guys

 

Currently ride Epic Evo Aliminium and decided to do the Carbon thing..

 

2x choices

 

Stumpjumper Carbon ST 

 

Epic Expert EVO   

 

I basically just ride for Fun non Competing.

 

I might do the Aurgus again and Karoo to coast and on and off again race but just to finish ..

 

Road incluedes Farm roads , some rocky ups and downs...

I bought the 2019 ST Stumpy, and I LOVE it.

 

Gives me way more confidence on single track, downhill trails. Haven't done more than 40kms yet, but climbing takes a little bit more effort, all worth it when you start going the other way though.

 

Doing the 60km CTCT MTB Challenge in March so will have a better idea of how it feels doing XC then.

 

The EVO comes with a 120mm fork, so probably a better option if you're not doing lot of trial riding.

If the races you are interested in are races like Karoo2Coast , Argus and the likes , and if majority of your rides are district or farm roads - then definitely rather the Epic .

 

The new Epic , especially in Evo form , will be more than capable to handle some rocky ups and downs .
