Hallo Expert Hubbers!

I have come across a Soma Wolverine with Soma steel fork, SRAM Apex groupset and Avid cable brakes that's selling for R13k. It looks brand spanking new but it doesn't look like the V3. Probably a v1 based on the colour scheme.

My question, is that a fair value for the bike? Anybody with first hand experience riding this frame?

Those bikes are really awesome. 13k is pretty 'reasonable'..

It's not light, but should have tire clearance and steel twang for a super plush ride.

I bought a set of these https://www.ebay.com/itm/JUIN-TECH-R1-Hydraulic-Road-CX-Disc-Brake-set-160mm-w-Rotor-Front-Rear-Blue/143089251819?hash=item2150c8b5eb:g:QscAAOSwgrtcf0hv and they really made my Cotic Escapade amazing for very little money.

I would suggest that the Wolverine is definitely worth 13k

Thanks for the link. Have you used any full road hydraulic brakes before? Interested in how these compare. I’m running SRAM Force Hydro but was considering cable hydro for a new build. Not s fan of the TRP non hydro cable brakes.

They are probably less precise, but the stopping power is great and more than enough. A FAR cry better than any cable brakes.

Easy to set up, easy to run and they don't add much in the way of weight.

You're welcome to swing a leg over my bike if you're in Muizenberg any time soon.
