Barry Stuart Posted March 29, 2019 Share I was initially going to post this in the Cyclists with a running problem thread but I think it deserves a bigger audience: A quick rave about Camelbak. I use an Osprey, which I've been generally happy with but I bought my wife a Camelbak Ultra Pro for the Karkloof 50 miler last year. It was perfect for that kind of race, just the essentials, very light and very airy. After a couple of months the clip that tightens the flask pocket snapped. It still manages to keep the pocket closed somehow, it was just a minor irritation. Then this year the one flask developed a pinhole leak on the seam. So I sent a mail to the local agents, Cape Cycle Systems, not expecting too much out of it since it had been a good eight months since I'd bought the pack. Wrong. I got an email reply within 5 minutes explaining that I was covered by their "Got your Bak" guarantee. Then I had a phone call from the agent within the hour. An hour after that and the Joburg rep phoned me to arrange collection of the pack and the faulty flask with full replacement if necessary. Seriously, I've never experienced service like that from any South African company. I'm definitely moving to them once I'm done with my Osprey. Osprey even one ups that - they have a no questions asked life time warranty. I've heard of people having packs replaced they bought in the 90's! But don't wanna take away from your post, that is excellent service from Camelbak and CCS! Barry Stuart
