First, big thanks to who-ever is doing maintenance on this trail.

 

However - when I rode it this morning the big drop-off has been blocked off with branches, forcing one to take the loop descent.  Why is this?  It is a very nice feature.

is that the drop off between the two big rocks to the right? That does come up on you fast if you don't know it's there. First time I hit it it was just pure speed that carried me through as there was no warning and I was chasing a friend at full pace. It's a great little feature on a pretty tame trail but a sign or indication might be good, there is a wide range of punters who I've seen ride there and it'd could be a step (down) too far for some.

 Its the drop off coming from the Constantia side - you drop down towards Rhodes drive and then go back up onto the bike trail towards Cecilia Forest parking lot.
