brake hose advice

Hi Guys

I need some help on Shimano disc brake hoses

Need to change the hose on my m9000 xtr and from what I understand I need to use sm-bh90-sbm

I can only find sm-bh90-sb availabe online but from what I can see the M is for magnesium calipers thus the threads on the banjo bolt is different as per image below

Surely the old banjo bolt can be reused?

You can re use the banjo no problem. Just replace the o-rings.

 

The correct banjo for the m9000 brakes is part number Y8JA09000

 

But for reference. The left hand bolt is for the m9000 calipers as they are magnesium. The right bolt is for the xt/SLx calipers

Was also under the impression the banjo's are the same on both hoses, just the banjo bolt that is different.

Makes sense that the magnesium (softer material) uses the full threaded bolt compared to the slotted threads.
