Front Brake Caliper on RS Paris Roubaix

Hi All,

I'm building up a bike with a RS Paris Roubaix fork and I've run into a bit of a problem.

I've removed the brake calliper from the stock fork and have tried to install it on the Roubaix. The issue I have is that the centre fixing bolt is too long for the Roubaix. The brake arch (see image) is much thinner than the crown on the stock fork.

Using spacers on the front of the fork brace doesn't help. The centre fixing nut sticks out the back. I've tried a shorter nut and that doesn't help either.

Am I doing something obviously stupid? I'm really stuck for a solution.

Thanks

Simon

If you put a spacer in front (between frame and caliper) it would fit.

Don't have experience of this fork, guessing they used two rear brake calipers on the frame. As you have installed it above.

Hi Martin,

I've used 2 spacers on the front between the front of the brake and the rear of the caliper (2 spacers). Without the spacers, the brake pads don't clear the brace.

Thanks for your help anyway.
