Mine sits around on my bike all the time (probably 2 odd years now) and its never even looked like breaking.

I assume you use it on your road bike all the time (crashed to the tar!) which is odd, cos it dosnt really take a lot of bouncing or jolts like it would on a mtn bike.

Perhaps you should take the bracket to Avnic themselves, I have always found them very obliging, I once popped in there as my Quest (which was 5 years out of warranty) was playing up, they took it in and said come back tomorrow.

When I went back a few days later, they told me "Sorry" we destroyed your unit when we tried to fix it.!

Then after a few minutes of polite silence, they chuckled and gave me a voucher for a brand new one.

I am sure they will sort you out.

really wierd - mine has taken a serious fall or two (or a whole lot more... i've fallen so often i've lost count Wink) and the unit is 100% and the brackets clip only broke when the bike was at AMID being used on a display - i think that someone actually broke it by fiddling

My 1st one snapped on the little pastic thingie, but no problems since but i'm extra careful when fitting and unfitting it.

Even with my prang last week the Garmin unit remained fixed to the bike.

My wife and I both use the Edge 305 on our MTBs and road bikes and all 4 brackets are still fine after almost a year of use and abuse especially on the MTB, which we use most.

I have taken a fall or 2 as well Embarrassed. Recently came off the MTB at 30km/h. Front wheel was a total write off, but the Garmin stayed put without a scratch.

Don't know what you are doing to yours...
