Block Posted November 4, 2019 Share Just make sure you order the correct set. They are all different in size and shape. Don't know why Shimano cannot standardise. Guess its part of upgrade design and of course to boost sales
First226 Posted November 7, 2019 Share Do to technology and customer demands in cycle groupset, manufacturers have redesign to meet make demand. Therefore hoods are part of the changes. Shimano will keep a groupset in production for 5 years and the next first years as spares. Then after ten years production will end for the groupset. What remains is groupset the OME( Bicycle Manufacturer) sort or agents. Why OME will have is, ie they many purchase from Shimano 600 and from Sram 600 to produce 1000 bicycle for a year. What left over is sold to companies like Chain reaction or other sellers. One that all gone , therefore no replacement for groupsets after that. It business.
