Running a Quarq DZero on my Sram cranks. Works well for me. I am using oval rings and don't 'see' a problem. I got a good deal well below the RRP though....

I would be interested anyway how oval rings are supposed to mess with the readings of a power meter. All they do is changing the amplitudes of the sinusoidal curve of the power that arrives in the chain. If the meter is sampling power data at sufficiently small interval it should matter at all - unless of course they 'cheat' and sample little data and work with a lot of extrapolation. Anybody with some inside knowledge on this?

Sorry to hear about your negative experiences with the product, since BPT has taken over the brand we have and will continue to work hard on improving the power2max market share and offering customers the support the deserve. The newer NG and NGeco models have had significant improvements over previous models with almost zero manufacturing defects. We have further worked with p2m Germany to offer customers who do experience product failures which are not covered by warranty a significant discount through a crash replacement program. This is assessed on a case by case base.

Didn't realise that the P2M agency had changed hands.. I've owned about 4 Cycleops hubs, and currently on a hammer trainer. Only good things to say and positive experiences with the BPT guys over all the years. Different story here.. Nice 1 boys!
