A friend have one come off the plate. The rest of the ride was a sound fest and he had to replace the disc because it was trashed.

 

There is no contest.Disc is better than rim

 

Riding Avid Juicy 7's.Never had a problem.Ride after ride for a year now.

Never heard of anyone losing a pad.Confused

Anyway if such a rare and unfortunate occurence should happen to me....I'll just put in another.Clap
