It might have changed since I was last there, but certainly at the weekends the Cradle was always ok to ride alone? There was never anyone further than a few hundred meters away (shouting distance!) - either on the trail or on the road.

A small group of us ride almost every weekend either Saturday or Sunday. Stupidly slow and not much climbing yet as there are some absolute beginners in there, but hoping to do a full loop in the not to distant future. You are welcome to join, PM me if you want details.
