Hoping one of you can help me, I am sure the college of Knowledge will know the answer! I had a fire place installed last winter with a stainless steel flue. Warmth was great and that overpowered the builders shortcomings.

However now that it is warm the kink in the shiny stainless steel flue is becoming more and more obvious everyday! Is there a way to straighten it? Basically 2 of the sections that join are misaligned!

Trust you guys can assist!

It should be pretty easy,It is possible that the fireplace does not not line up with the cowl.

The flue is spigot and socket type of installation.

I would get any duct erector to do it for you.Should not take more than an hour or two to do.

You will need the appropriate fire rated duct sealer I would presume as that will need to be replaced.

I intend installing one of these before winter comes in my place in Jhb
