Mtb trails and road cycling - Paternoster

Hi, any suggestions for mtb riding in the paternoster area. Also is it safe to hit the road in this area on your own.

 

Some suggestions would be much appreciated as I cannot go 3 days without saddle time. Withdrawals are already kicking in.

From what I remember of Paternoster is sand.Hire a Kayak and go paddling for 3 days.
