Raleigh RC1000

A friend of mine is trying out someone's old Raleigh RC1000 (2005) and is quite keen on buying it but doesn't know what offer to make.  It's in pretty good nic (for a raleigh ) with the odd scratch on the frame.

What would be a reasonable offer for this bike?

 

The 2008 model retails for +-R3900

well it has sora on it so i wouldnt pay more than 2000 if the wheels are still true and the gearing is alright
