Which fork to replace my DT Swiss XRC 100

I have a DT Swiss XRC 100 fork on my old 26” Merida 96 mountain bike, which has gone completely and needs to be replaced.  Does anyone know what the best affordable replacement would be and where I can get one in Cape Town?

There is a Rockshox SID on here going for a good price if you don't mind 2nd hand.

I don’t mind second hand.  How will I know if the Rockshox SID will fit my bike (I’m a bit weak when it comes to the technical stuff)?
